Self Care is

Your  right

and

your responsiblity

you suck at it

(and so do I)

Whether you realize it or not you suck at self care. As far as I see it, we all suck at it.

Most of us live our lives under the guise of we are “taking good care of ourselves.” This delusional reality came crashing down around me when I experienced my first panic attack in 2022. Since becoming more aware of what anxiety actually FEELS like from a personal standpoint, my life has been forever changed. I will preface this discussion with full understanding of my privilege. I do not profess to know your circumstances, but I do know human beings. As a collective (at least as far as my own sphere of consciousness is concerned), many of us move too fast. We do too much, we work too hard, we give absolutely everything we have in service of whatever goal we possess. We push ourselves to the very limits of our own abilities, we break our backs in service of (and sadly at the mercy of) the hands that feed us. All the while, we are telling ourselves that we are doing the right thing. Guess what? You’re not. You’re living with blinders on. Those blinders are exactly what kept me from seeing the hurt I was causing others while I bulldozed over them. And at what cost? I hurt people, I lost connections, I lost business, I lost who I was supposed to become (and consequently the person who is giving you this message today)!

Whether you realize it or not, you have been led to this exact point for a reason. Whether we’re talking about your current point in life or just the point on this website. If you are reading this, you are at a point in your life where you realize you might be doing it wrong. You may or may not be working with me or someone else, but you are at this point regardless. You need to re-evaluate truly what self care is. I’m not telling you what to think, lets be fair. HELLO - you clicked on SELF CARE.

This space, as are most areas of my site, will be an ever-evolving space. One thing I hope to gently impart to you is that I never give advice. I only share what -I- do. I wish to give to you some very specific tools that I personally use in the hopes that perhaps you may find some of them helpful.

(Don’t worry - I have lots more to share with you in session!).
